In the KBS1 liberal arts program’Breakfast-Challenge Dream Stage’, which aired on the 6th, the story of challenger Il-joo Lim was told. Im Il-ju, who appeared in a wheelchair that day, said about his physical condition, “I was in a car accident during military vacation when I was 24, and my neck was paralyzed due to spinal damage.”

He said, “My dream was a singer. Before I went to the army, I sang songs at a live cafe. I was good at singing and my face was cute, so I thought I would be a great singer. But the accident paralyzed my body and my dreams were shattered. I said, “It aroused regret.

“I cursed me, who became a severely handicapped person, and I hated myself in a wheelchair. But my father died in the 3rd grade of middle school, and my mother, who only looked at me as my only child, was pitiful and received hospital treatment for 3 years. I was still ashamed to show people myself. I seldom left the house,” he confessed.

He said, “Then, I met a woman who volunteered at a group for the disabled, and thankfully I married that woman.” After hard work, she passed the choir audition, and from then on, she said she started dreaming of becoming a singer again. In addition, he received applause for saying, “There are people who have a prejudice to art by handicapped people. I will break that prejudice.”

Im Il-joo selected Lee Jeok’s’Good thing’ and conveyed his impressions by decorating the stage with a sincere voice. Lee Ja-eon, who saw the stage, praised, “This song was made by Lee Jeok for his wife, and I was impressed as though Im Il-ju made it for his wife.”
