Brazilian President Zaire Bolsonaro was sentenced to a fine by a court after accusing him of sexual harassment.
According to Brazilian media on the 27th local time, the Sao Paulo Civil Court announced the sentence of a fine of 20,000 Reals and 4 million Korean won to President Bolsonaro through a court site the day before.
The ruling was handed down on the 16th by Judge Ina Gee Remus E. Siuba Mashadu, a first-trial judge, and President Bolsonaro can appeal.
The judge stated the reason for the ruling, “It is natural that the defendant who exercised the right to freedom of expression should be held liable as much as the defendant defames the plaintiff and inflicts mental damage.”
During a media interview in February of last year, President Bolsonaro made a sexual harassment statement by comparing the exciter of a leading daily newspaper to a Yoon Rak-nyeo, who complained of mental damage and sued President Bolsonaro.
President Bolsonaro has been in an uncomfortable relationship with the media since he took office in early 2019, and the goal of the conflict has deepened as he poured out wicked words and wickedness.
One newspaper accused President Bolsonaru of attacking journalists and unilaterally stopping press conferences when asked uncomfortable questions.
In August of last year, he visited the Cathedral of Brasilia, the capital, and responded nervously to a reporter asking a gritty question, saying, “I want to grind your mouth with a fist.”
At an event held at the Presidential Palace, journalists made their own criticism by making a statement stating that the chances of surviving the coronavirus infection-19 (Corona 19) were small.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) claimed in a report in January that last year, President Bolsonaro and his aides had reached 580 offensive remarks to the media.
The Brazilian Journalists Association has even published a report claiming that “2020 was the most violent year for journalists.
