Upon receiving the report, the police woman and youth investigation team investigated whether child abuse was conducted against foster parents, pediatricians, and Jeong In-i, together with a child protection agency. However, the police reflected the findings of a regular pediatrician who saw Jeong In-yang’s mouth wound as stomatitis, and the position of the adoptive parents, without seeking an opinion from a third hospital. This was the reason why Jeong In-yang, who was found to have suspected abuse, could not be separated from her adoptive parents.
