MRflufast is a device-type product that can quickly detect influenza type A and type B by immunochromatography by collecting samples from patients with flu symptoms.
Immunochromatography is an antigen detection method based on an indirect fluorescence method that detects an antibody that specifically responds to a specific antigen present in an antibody-producing cell or tissue section sample among immunoassay methods.
It is easy to visually distinguish influenza A and B types in red and blue using colored beads. In the case of a strong positive sample, it can be read within 30 seconds, and in general, it can be read in 3 to 10 minutes.
In particular, the use of copan swabs, a cotton swab that collects samples, makes it easier to collect pediatric samples, and the solution tube is also soft, so that it can be easily inspected.
It is possible to detect a number of influenza A and B strains, and is characterized by high sensitivity compared to real time PCR (a device that quantitatively displays the resultant product of a chain polymerization reaction in real time).
