“Remember 24 won ○○ coins and collect them well.”

Mr. A, an office worker who started investing in virtual assets after hearing about the recent surge in bitcoin, recently signed up for a’coin reading room’. The virtual asset-related community saw the telegram link attached to the article saying, ‘I raised 30 million won in revenue through the reading room.’ The operator asked for 2.2 million won as a monthly membership fee, and Mr. A signed up after paying the word that he could earn a lot of money. The reading room advised that if you invest in’○○ Coin’ now, you can make a profit, and Mr. A believed this and invested as it was, but lost more than 10 million won by recording a loss of more than 30%. When complaining about the loss, the operator of the reading room avoided that he was not responsible, and Mr. A was only able to get a refund of 900,000 won for the membership fee.

According to the financial industry on the 10th, as more people invest in coins due to the recent surge in the price of virtual assets, such as the price of bitcoin has risen more than 60 million won, illegal reading rooms targeting them have been shown to be active. Reading Bang is a service where a self-proclaimed investment expert called a’leader’ recommends (reading) the sale and purchase of stocks of a specific stock through messenger as a bait for high profits. Coin reading room, like stock reading room, selects coins whose price will skyrocket and invites investors to invest. If you search for keywords related to virtual assets in social network services (SNS) such as KakaoTalk and Telegram, dozens of chat rooms are still displayed. These are all illegally and implicitly operated.

Pay attention to the fact that paid reading rooms can make a big profit and are charged a membership fee. One reading room also demanded a fee of over millions of won per month. They are asking for membership fees as virtual assets, so it is not easy to crack down. In the name of joining a reading room, it is known that there are cases where coins are requested first and then deposited after deposit. Be careful when using free reading rooms. Indiscriminately sharing unverified coin-related information, it also tempts them to move to paid reading rooms through advertisements.

Currently, there are more than hundreds of coins officially listed on the domestic virtual asset exchange. There are many types of virtual asset investors and there is little information about coins, so they are interested in reading rooms. In particular, such a reading room is attracting investors with stimulating phrases such as’guaranteed 1 million to 5 million won per day’ and’expected return on investment 300%’. Unlike the stock market, the virtual asset market has no price limiting device, so the fluctuations of the virtual asset market reach hundreds of percent in one day. For this reason, people who complain of investment failure after getting wrong in illegal reading rooms are constantly coming out.

Bitcoin price has recently risen again. According to Bithumb, a virtual asset exchange, bitcoin was traded at 6154 million won as of 2 pm on the 10th.
