Yearly population likely to record natural decline for the first time this year

Due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), both the number of births and the number of marriages reached record lows since the preparation of related statistics. On the other hand, the number of deaths was the highest since the count. The natural decline of the population has continued for 12 months since last November and is the longest ever recorded every month. This year is expected to be recorded as the first year of the’Population Cliff Era’, when the annual population growth rate turns to a decline.

According to the’population trend for October 2020′ released by the National Statistical Office on the 23rd, the number of births in October was 21,934, a decrease of 3679 (14.4%) from the same month last year.
