The UK announced today that it is working with the United States, the EU and Canada to sanction four Chinese officials in connection with massive abuses against the Uyghurs, an Islamic minority ethnic group in Xinjiang, China.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that it would sanction four Chinese officials and one organization in relation to human rights violations of the Uighurs.
