Biden shouted for integration, and all the national security teams were minorities… State affairs, finance, and key positions in the Jewish world

The cabinet of US President Joe Biden, who took office on the 20th, draws attention. The ratio of women and ethnic minorities is higher than in any other cabinet ever. It can be seen as an effort to properly reflect the reality of gender and race in the United States, moving away from the center of’white men’, which was the mainstream power of the United States.

14 out of 29 key positions in the Cabinet and White House women
Mass production of first records such as natives and Hispanic
Secretary General, State Affairs, Information, Finance, Legal Affairs
The national security team is not white and all minorities
8 Catholics, 5 Jewish people over-reflected
Population 67% white, 43% Protestant underreflection
14% of the population, no evangelical whites at all
Collect only the same side… Integration and distance pointing
Concern to create a new political divide
Biden’s daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren Jewish
Vice President Harris’ husband is also a Jewish lawyer

Biden, Catholic/Jewish hype

However, it is not easy to point out that only a large number of minorities were employed, but did not properly reflect the actual US population. This is because President Biden employed a large number of Catholics like him, excluded white Protestants from the national security team, and actively employed Jews. In particular, there are concerns that the white evangelicals, who actively supported former President Donald Trump, were completely excluded from the cabinet or inauguration invitations, leading to separation and confrontation rather than unity.

“The most colorful cabinet in American history”

CNN broadcasts a personnel hearing currently in progress in the Senate, where 26 people, including all 15 ministers and 8 of the White House secretaries, must complete the Senate hearing and approval process. When you look at the side of the secretary appointed by President Biden and the senior White House staff, your mouth is wide open.
It is not too much to say that the members of the cabinet nominated by Biden are, in a word,’the first record maker’. According to the BBC, if he passes the Senate hearings, Deb Harland, nominated as Home Secretary, becomes the first Native American minister in American history. Appointed as Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Everyl Haynes will become the first female head of national security. Lloyd Austin becomes the first African-American Defense Minister.
Homeland Security Minister-nominated Alejandro Mallorcas will be the first Hispanic (Latin) homeland security chief. If Pete Booty Gigi, who was in the Democratic Party’s presidential election last year, gave up halfway and was nominated for the Minister of Transportation this time as a homosexual, will be the first LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) in U.S. history. Appointed as Minister of Education, Miguel Cadona becomes the first cabinet member from Puerto Rico, a US dominion, when approved by the Senate.

Women occupy 14 of 29 key positions

Women are also the most in history. According to the BBC, from Biden-appointed Vice President Camela Harris, Treasury Secretary Janet Allen, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Everil Haynes, Commerce Secretary Gina Rumando, and UN Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield. Catherine Thai Trade Representative, and Jennifer Granholm, a nominated Minister of Energy, account for seven of the 16 major positions. The BBC assessed that the US cabinet, first formed in 1791 by the founding president of the United States, George Washington, was a leap forward compared to what had been made up of all white men. But the white evangelicals, who make up 14% of the American population, pointed out that there was no one in Biden’s cabinet.
The number of women entering senior positions in the federal government is also the highest ever. The Washington Post (WP) reported that nearly half of 29 cabinet members, including the vice president, heads of 15 departments, and 13 White House offices, were 14 women. Of the 15 ministers, only 5 are women, including finance, home affairs, commerce, housing, urban development, and energy, while 13 are women in key positions at the White House.

Efforts to reflect diversity in New Zealand, Canada and the UK

The BBC predicts that if the Senate hearing is passed as it is, then Biden’s cabinet will be made up of the most diverse American cabinets ever. This means that under the Biden administration, the United States will transform into a 21st-century country that has a similar composition of citizens and the ratio of cabinets and high ranks like New Zealand and Canada. In fact, in New Zealand, led by Prime Minister Jershinda Arden, in the reshuffle in November last year, five of the 20 cabinet members were appointed as native Maori tribes and eight women each. New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta is the first Māori female foreign minister. A Maori chieftain family and a warrior-only Moko Kaue tattoo on his chin.

When Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took office in 2015, the cabinet was made up of equal numbers of men and women. When asked why, Prime Minister Trudeau replied, “Because it is 2015,” and it became a hot topic. Diverse ethnic groups, including Indian Sikh immigrants and Muslims wearing turbans, were based. It was evaluated as representing Canadian society in the 21st century.

According to the BBC, Boris Johnson’s fourth cabinet, which was formed in July last year, also set a record in the field of diversity. In the UK, the term BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic/Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) is used, which means non-white people. In this Johnson cabinet, the corresponding person is 4 regular attendees of the cabinet meeting, and 2 ministers who attend when necessary. There were 6 people, including people. Until now, only five members of BAME have served as cabinet ministers, two each from Tony Blair and Terrisa May, and one from Gordon Brown’s cabinet.
The proportion of female ministers in Johnson’s fourth cabinet remained unchanged. Women occupied 8 out of all 33 digits, leaving it at 24%. The percentage of women in Margaret Thatcher’s cabinet in 1979 was only 5%, of which 5% was taken up by Prime Minister Thatcher himself. After that, Prime Minister John Meiji reopened 8% in 1992, Tony Blair in 1997, 21%, and Gordon Brown in 2007, 30%, reaching a record high of 37.9%. In 2010, the Conservative’s David Cameron and the Liberal’s Nick Klegg allied cabinet fell to 17%, and rose back to 29% from Cameron’s single cabinet in 2015. In 2016, when he was Prime Minister Derisa May, it rose to 30%, and with the reshuffle, it once reached 34 or 5%. In Johnson’s cabinet, it was slightly shorter.

Promote national unity by securing diversity

Biden’s cabinet is less diverse than New Zealand or Canada, but better than Britain. French international broadcaster France 24 analyzed that Biden formed this diversity cabinet to clarify the identity of the Democratic Party and to unite the United States. Reverting Donald Trump’s policy of “first in America”, normalizing the United States suffering from the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), with more than 400,000 deaths in the U.S. the day before taking office, and investing $1.9 trillion to restore the economy It is a measure to complete the mission. It is said that the intention is to lead the unity of the people by securing diversity.
CNN pointed out that 23 ministers had passed the Senate personnel hearings and had to be approved, but Biden took office as president without even one. He explains that it will take a while for the Biden administration to be fully operational, as it takes an average of 20 days for hearings and approvals.

Minorities are overrepresented, whites are underrepresented

However, the Washington Post (WP) pointed out that it is difficult to see the fact that minorities such as Jews and Catholics dominate the key positions of the Biden cabinet in the shadow of diversity. It is said that the minority group overrepresented key positions in the cabinet. According to the WP, of the 23 high-ranking positions that need to be approved by the Senate, 6 are African, 4 are Hispanic (Latin), 3 are Asian, and 1 are Native American. It is said that only 10 of them went to whites. According to the census results, the US population consisted of 76.3% white, 13.4% African (black), 5.9% Asian, 1.3% Native American, and 2.8% others. According to the results of the exit survey of the’National Election Pool’ organized by ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, and CNN in relation to the presidential election on November 3 last year, among the voters by gender, 52% were women and 48% were men. The racial composition was 67% white, 13% black, 13% Latino, 4% Asian, and 4% other. It is pointed out that although Biden’s cabinet composition is diverse, it does not properly reflect the composition of the US population.

Catholic/Jewish take over important positions

Religion is particularly focused. There are eight Catholics like Biden. Some people do not disclose their religion or are ambiguous, so 8 is the minimum number. There are 5 Jews, 2 Black Baptists, and 2 Hindus.
Among the key figures in the Biden administration, Catholics are Deb Harland, Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Health and Welfare Javier Bassera, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Billsack, Secretary of Commerce, Gina Rumando, Minister of Labor, Marty Welsh Secretary of Labor, Minister of Veterans Affairs Dennis McDonner, and Minister of Energy Jennifer Granholm. Etc. He is of Hispanic or Irish origin. Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, who is of African descent, also said he was a Catholic.
President John Kerry, Special Envoy for Climate (former Secretary of State and Senator), is sometimes regarded as a Catholic. His grandparents immigrated to the United States from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and converted from Judaism to Catholicism, and his father also lived a strong religious life. The mother is an Anglican believer, but Catholics and Anglicans are quite’compatible’ with each other in liturgy. As a child, Kerry also served as a copyist in the Catholic Church. Including him, there are nine Catholics. According to the results of the exit survey of the National Election Pool, American voters were Protestant 43%, Catholic 25%, Judaism 2%, and other 8%. Even Catholicism and Judaism combined account for 27%. Religiously, the Biden cabinet seems far from the US population.

14% of the population, no white evangelicals at all

The WP pointed out that none of the white evangelicals swept high-ranking positions in the Trump administration. White evangelicals, who make up 15% of the U.S. population, voted for Trump in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. Trump has hired a high-ranking white evangelical, which exceeds the percentage of the population. Notable white evangelicals in the Trump administration include Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Education Minister Batsey Debos, and Agriculture Secretary Sony Purdue.
The WP pointed out that Biden is neglecting them, unlike Barack Obama, who also worked on white evangelicals. Obama invited Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback, a white evangelical megachurch, to the inauguration ceremony, and had Pastor Joel Hunter of the Orlando Major Church as his spiritual advisor. But Biden, who is devoted to Catholicism and regularly attends Mass, is refraining from this expansion effort. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable in cabinet personnel. The WP quoted John Pia, a professor of American history at the Messiah University, saying “Most evangelicals are on the Republican side.” White evangelicals are mostly Trump and Republican supporters, so it’s possible that Biden had a hard time finding someone to work with.

Ju Dae-gye, Secretary General, State Affairs, Finance, Information, Legal Affairs

The point to note is the Jewish people. According to the Israeli daily Times of Israel and Harets, five are Jewish: Ron Klein, Secretary of the White House, Secretary of State Tony Blincoln, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Everyl Haynes, and Justice Minister Merrick Galland. It is consistently one of the key positions. This means that the Jewish world took all the positions responsible for national security, finance, and legal affairs. Reflecting the Jewish tradition, which is a maternal society, it was only considered if the mother was a Jew. For example, Paul Newman, the protagonist of’Exodus’, which deals with the return of the Jews, does not count as Jews because only his father is Jewish.

6 members of Biden’s family, Harris husband of Jewish origin

There are only five Jewish people based on this criterion, and there are more people in the family who are related to the Jewish world. President Biden also married Jews with two sons and one daughter who survived as adults. The eldest son Bo, who died of illness in 2015, married Harley, a Jewish wife, in 2002 and had one son and one daughter. President Biden’s youngest daughter Ashley married a Jewish doctor at the introduction of Bo. Their wedding took place in a Catholic church in Delaware, but a Reformed Jewish rabbi attended. The bridegroom gave the Jewish marriage contract to the bride, and the bridegroom stepped on the bride’s glass to break the wedding according to the Jewish custom of “Jerusalem, if I forget you, my right hand will dry out” in Psalm 135:5. Proceeded. It is a Jewish custom to not forget the sufferings of our ancestors even at a happy wedding.
The second son, Hunter, had three daughters with his first wife, but separated in 2015 and divorced in 2017. Between 2015 and 2019, when his older brother died, he and his sister-in-law Harley ended their relationship in 2019. In 2018, I got a daughter outside of marriage. In 2019, he married a South African Jewish documentary filmmaker and married a son. It is the same baby that I had when I was declaring victory in the presidential election last year. According to Jewish custom, of Biden’s 2 sons and 5 daughters, 2 sons and 1 daughter whose mother is Jewish are Jewish. President Biden has six Jewish families, including three Jewish grandchildren, daughter-in-law and son-in-law.
Douglas Mhope, the husband of Vice President Harris, is also a Jewish lawyer. In December of last year, the Harris couple posted a scene on Instagram that celebrated Hanukkah, a traditional Jewish holiday.

National Security Team, all minorities without WASP

According to NPR, a U.S. public radio station, the National Security Team is non-WASP, including Secretary of State Tony Blincoln, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mallorcas, Director of National Intelligence Abril Haynes and UN Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield It was made up of (white Protestant believers). Secretary of State Blincoln and Director of State Intelligence Haynes are of African descent, Secretary of Defense Austin and UN Ambassador Thomas Greenfield are of African descent, and Minister of Homeland Security of Majorcas is from Cuba.
Although President Biden is said to have made a ministerial appointment based on diversity, he did not actively represent the US population. Rather, they ruled out a lot of evangelicals or Protestant whites who could be pro-Trump. There are not a few consumptions that will be mistaken for turning their backs rather than taking care of them. President Biden’s inaugural address is likely to be a long and difficult road to integration.
