US President Joe Biden ordered an early hoist to commemorate the victims of the Atlanta shootings.

President Biden, in his decree issued on the 18th (local time), said, “As a token of respect for the victims of the reckless acts of violence committed in the Atlanta metropolitan area on March 16, 2021, According to the authority of the president, we order early hoisting.”

Early hoisting is applied to all public institution buildings and military bases throughout the United States, including the White House until sunset on the 22nd, to facilities such as naval ships and diplomatic missions abroad.

Previously, on the 16th, a total of eight people, including four Korean women, were killed in a shooting incident in one Atlanta massage parlor and two spa parlors. Suspect Robert Aaron Long, 21, was arrested on the same day and is being investigated, including the motives of the crime.
