President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden made a dissonance in their policy on responding to Corona 19.

President Trump, ahead of his retirement on the 20th, decided to lift restrictions on entry to foreigners from Europe and Brazil, but Biden’s side immediately opposed it. It was suggested that even two days before the two inauguration ceremony, the two were still running parallel without cooperation or coordination.

On the 18th, US media reported that President Trump will remove the entry ban for foreigners from Europe, Britain, and Brazil from the 26th.

This entry ban was enforced in March last year, and as of the 26th, it was expected to be lifted due to a policy change, requiring all overseas visitors to have a Corona 19 voice certificate or a recovery certificate.

But Biden-elect, public affairs officer, refuted that he would not lift the ban immediately.

“On the advice of our medical team, according to the advice of our medical team, the administration has no intention of lifting this restriction,” said Jen Saki, a public affairs officer. “In fact, we plan to strengthen public health measures related to international travel to prevent the spread of Corona 19,” he added.

This means that the immigration ban will continue to be maintained at the will of the Biden administration. The abolition of the entry ban was a decision that did not suit the situation from the beginning. Experts believe that it makes no sense for the United States to take such measures, with more contagious viruses found one after another, with more than 24 million confirmed cases and nearly 400,000 deaths.

However, a few minutes before Saki’s public affairs tweet, President Trump showed the opposite perspective in a statement, saying, “This is the best way to safely resume travel while still protecting Americans from COVID-19.”

Airlines, which have experienced a sharp decline in demand by more than 95% in some parts of Europe, have pressed the White House to withdraw the measure. The White House reflected this and made a decision, but it was immediately defeated by Biden’s backlash.
