Bentoho’s national football team’Japan-Korea match’ in Yokohama, Japan on the 25th

After breaking through the barrier of Coronavirus Infectious Disease-19 (Corona 19), the Korea-Japan soccer team evaluation match will be held in 10 years.

The Korea Football Association said on the 10th, “We have agreed with the Japan Football Association on the 25th to hold an evaluation match for the national team at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan.”

The match between Korea and Japan as a friendly match has been 10 years since the confrontation between Japan and Sapporo in August 2011 (3-0 defeat).

Since 2011, the East Asian Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship (formerly known as the East Asian Cup) has only played four times, and Korea has recorded 2 wins, 1 draws and 1 loss.

Korea is leading the previous match between Korea and Japan with 42 wins, 23 draws and 14 losses.

This is the 80th Korea-Japan war.

Even in 30 games played away from Japan, Korea dominated with 16 wins, 8 draws and 6 losses.

The Nissan Stadium, where the 80th Korea-Japan match will be held, is the venue for the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup final.

There were two matches between Korea and Japan, and Korea was pushed back to 1 draw and 1 loss.

They lost 2-1 in the Dynasty Cup in March 1998, and drew 0-0 in the East Asian Cup in December 2003.

The match between Korea and Japan came to a light when the second qualifying schedule for the 2022 Qatar World Cup Asia region was postponed to June in the aftermath of Corona 19.

The Japan Football Association working-level team has offered to hold an evaluation match first, and both sides shared positive rapport.

After the official official letter arrived at the Korea Football Association, the evaluation match in 10 years was concluded.

After returning to Korea, all K-League players convened in Bento were cohort quarantined for the first 7 days at Paju NFC (National Team Training Center), and the remaining 7 days, discussions with the government were completed so that they could return to their team and compete in the game.

Jeon Han-jin, the secretary general of the Football Association, said, “It is time to check the performance of the national team ahead of the 4 World Cup Asian 2nd qualifying matches in June and the World Cup final qualifying starting in the second half.” When I decided to actively utilize the valuable A-match period,” he said.
