The credit card industry is accelerating the preparation of countermeasures ahead of the enforcement of the Financial Consumer Protection Act on the 25th.

According to the financial sector on the 13th, Shinhan Card will establish an integrated management system by utilizing 50,000’voices of customers’ annually as digital-based management resources. To this end, Shinhan Card divided into four stages: ▲ collection, analysis, utilization, and performance management.

Shinhan Card plans to collect and discover consumer opinions in real time by adding idea competitions, customer panel proposals, and establishment of lounges exclusively for senior customers, along with several existing channels such as satisfaction surveys, simple surveys, and internal and external complaints analysis.

KB Kookmin Card is operating the’Voice of Customers’ and is engaged in activities to protect each department and financial consumers, centering on the Ministry of Consumer Protection.

KB Kookmin Card recently invited a law firm attorney and held a briefing session on the main contents of the law, along with the management, to working-level employees. In addition, tasks such as establishing and revising internal regulations, changing forms such as application forms, related computer development, and internal training are also in progress with other companies.

Hyundai Card is also developing a computer system related to the registration of loan recruiters and reinforcement of customer information in accordance with the law of law. A representative of Hyundai Card said, “We are preparing according to schedule, such as revising the internal control guidelines.”

Lotte Card is recruiting’LOCA panels’ on a double-digit scale until the 17th. This year, in addition to the general customer panel, an additional customer panel representing the financially underprivileged, including the elderly over the age of 60, the disabled, and foreigners, is recruited.

An official in the card industry said, “The customer panel system has existed since before, but there is a further strengthened aspect this year due to the enforcement of the gold law law.”
