Gyeonggi Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myeong, who has recently continued to insist on introducing basic income, was criticized by Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun. Explicit expressions such as’useless waste’ and ‘100,000 won is not income’ were used.

Prime Minister Chung appeared on CBS Radio on the 19th and insisted, “I will issue 100 trillion won of government bonds this year.” Prime Minister Chung’s opinion is that it is time to talk about how to save the economy, not how to share it.

He said, “If the people actively support doing this, you can review it positively, but that is not the case,” he said.

Prime Minister Chung added, “To say that it is income, it has to be a certain amount,” he added. “For example, it is difficult to say that 100,000 won is an income.”

Prime Minister Jung said, “It’s useless and why are we wasting electricity?” to the governor’s repeated arguments for basic income. “Is it going to lead the leading economy and make our next generation more income and richer than ours?” he said.

When the host said, “If you say it’s useless, Governor Jaemyung Lee will be a little angry.” “You shouldn’t have to keep talking about it,” he lowered the level somewhat.

However, Prime Minister Chung was wary of being seen as a confrontation with Governor Lee. “There is no conflict at all,” he said and “policy debates are healthy.” Prime Minister Jung added, “If this is good and that is good without controversy, then what kind of politics will you do?”
