[이데일리 스타in 임정우 기자] FC Barcelona beat Seville to advance to the Spanish Copa del Rey (Kings’ Cup) final.
Barcelona won 3-0 after an overtime match against Seville in the 2nd leg of the King’s Cup semi-final of the 2020-2021 season at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain on the 4th (Korean time). Barcelona, which made a total of 3-2 in the first and second games, confirmed their advance to the finals. Barcelona compete against the Athletic Bilbao-Levante winner in the final on April 17 local time.
Barcelona won a ticket to the finals dramatically on this day. Barcelona, which lost 0-2 in the first leg of their quarter-finals with Seville, opened the drama of the big fight in the 12th minute of the first half, with Uzman Dembele scoring the winning goal with a powerful right-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area.
After finishing 1-0 in the first half, Barcelona faced a crisis in the 26th minute when defender Oscar Minguesa knocked over Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos in the 26th minute, allowing a penalty kick. The cross that Jordi Alba put near the left edge of the penalty area was flooded by the Braceweight to the front of the goal, scoring the wedge with a diving header. Barcelona settled in the finals, stopping all attacks from Seville in the remaining time and had a chance to challenge themselves to win the 31st King’s Cup.
