Olympic medalists raised suspicions about the selection process for the badminton national team, and posted a message on the Blue House bulletin board, causing ripples.

Former badminton national team member Jung Kyung-eun (31, Kimcheon City Hall) posted a post on the Blue House bulletin board on the 29th, entitled “Please clarify the suspicion of the 2021 national badminton player selection screening.” This article has obtained the consent of 2,000 people by the 31st.

Among the players who participated in the selection, Jung Kyung-eun was rumored that there was a nominee, and that the player was actually included in the final list. He also pointed out that “three out of the six judges were the leaders of the players participating in the selection,” and pointed out that the composition of the judges itself could hinder fair judgment.

Jung Kyung-eun, a bronze medalist in women’s doubles at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and currently ranked 10th in the women’s doubles world ranking, was eliminated from the selection held on the 18th and 23rd. It was confirmed that the player who tied for 7th with 9-4 in the league match, but only 7-7, received a high score in the judge’s evaluation and was included in the final 5th place. The doubles selection is ranked by adding 50% of the results of the league match and 50% of the judges’ evaluation.

Jung Kyung-eun argued, “Even if the win rate is high, it is possible to negate and manipulate as much as possible with the evaluation score. It is a dark selection system.”
