While the possibility of the fourth epidemic of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) is growing, the quarantine authorities have made observations that if vaccination is done well as planned, the spread of Corona 19 will be controlled.

Yoon Tae-ho, head of the Central Accident Control Headquarters, said at a Corona 19 back briefing on the 6th, “It is not perfect if more than 10 million people are vaccinated in the first half, but the minimum that can be achieved to control the spread of infection will be achieved.”

The quarantine authorities recently diagnosed the situation as there were more than 500 new confirmed cases a day, raising anxiety about whether a pandemic is coming again.

“The increase in the amount of movement due to easing distance and the occurrence of group infection is a risk factor for the fourth epidemic,” said Ban. What I did is a hopeful element.

He added, “Recently, the decrease in nursing facility group infections has the effect of early preemptive testing, but we are cautiously judged that it may be the effect of vaccination.”

The quarantine authorities are aiming to complete the first vaccination targeting 12 million people in the first half of this year.

The day before, President Moon Jae-in said at a meeting of the Blue House chief and advisors, “We will do our best to achieve the goal of inoculating 12 million people in the first half and immunization in November.”

Meanwhile, the quarantine authorities have entered into discussions to come up with measures to ease restrictions, such as self-isolation, for individuals who have been vaccinated or facilities that have been vaccinated in groups.

“We are generally discussing the necessary measures after vaccination, including how much mitigation will be made for those who have completed the vaccination and how to adjust preemptive inspections for facilities that have been vaccinated.”

The German quarantine authorities have decided to promote a plan to allow vaccinations to shop or visit a beauty salon in the same way as those who received a negative test result.
