[아시아경제 성기호 기자] In connection with the recent temporary suspension of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccination to investigate cases of’thrombosis’ in some European countries, the quarantine authorities announced that they will take prompt action if any abnormalities are detected in Korea. However, it was emphasized again that no one in Korea reported a blood clot reaction after vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

He explained, “Fortunately, Korea has not imported AstraZeneca vaccine with the same serial number reported in Europe, and there have been no cases of similar adverse reactions such as thromboembolism among the 580,000 vaccinated people to date.”

Bae said, “WHO has conducted more than 33.5 million vaccinations worldwide, but no vaccine-related deaths were found. On the other hand, more than 2.6 million people died from Corona 19.” The international community also recognized its importance,” he stressed.

Earlier, in Austria, two women who received the same serial number (batch ABV 5300) of AstraZeneca vaccine at the same time in Austria had adverse thrombotic reactions, of which a 49-year-old woman died of’severe clotting’.
