[아시아경제 김봉주 기자] An Australian woman trapped in the trunk of a car running while being stabbed by a weapon used her wits to survive.

According to the Australian public ABC broadcast on the 4th (local time), at 11:30 a.m. the previous day, a truck driver saw a car running in front of him on a highway 100 km southwest of Sydney, NSW.

The rear light seat of the white car running in front was empty, and a human hand extended through the hole.

The driver reported it to the police, and about 20 minutes later, the highway patrol team, who arrived at the scene, picked up the reported vehicle and searched for it.

The police successfully rescued a woman in her twenties who was stuck in the trunk while being stabbed by a weapon.

The police subsequently arrested another woman on-site with a female driver in the vehicle.

Local media reported that the woman who was trapped in the trunk seemed to have reached out through a hole in the rear light to request rescue.

The victim was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment, and it is said that there is no harm in life.

The police are investigating this case as a drug-related kidnapping case.
