The Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 10th National Recommendation Award Ceremony at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry inviting 46 winners who have been selected as recipients of the government award.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun is planning to give the awardees an adornment and packaging directly on their chests, and take a commemorative photo with each of the winners to express gratitude and congratulations.

The National Recommendation Award marks the 10th anniversary of this year as a reward system in which the government rewards people who directly recommend hidden neighbors in our society.

The 10th winners were selected from 755 cases recommended by the people from July 2019 to June of last year through field research and screening by the National Recommendation Awards Review Committee. From this year’s screening, online voting was conducted to expand public participation.

The highest-ranking medal, the National Medal, Camellia went to the couple, Jong-bok Jeon (81) and Soon-bun Kim (73), who donated 3 billion won. Working as the general manager of a small private hospital, he practiced sharing by donating the money he had saved his whole life to the’Fool’s Sharing Welfare Foundation’. Currently, both the couple are unemployed.

The couple said, “I have only put into practice the idea of ​​giving back property to society from a long time ago,” and said, “I will donate the remaining property to the underprivileged before leaving.”

At the corner of the Myeong-dong entrance building, he donated 1.2 billion won of wealth that he had accumulated over 50 years of shoe repair work, and was awarded a national medal of honor to Mr.

An elderly couple, Kim Young-seok (93) and Yang Young-ae (85), who have decided to donate 20 billion won to the university for the property they have collected from selling fruit for 50 years, and the remaining 20 billion won worth of real estate, also receive a national medal of honor.

A national medal was awarded to sports doctor Kim Tae-young (57), who donated free talents in sports programs to prevent injuries and improve athletes’ performance at domestic and international sports competitions for over 30 years.

The Presidential Citation was awarded to Geum-Hyeon Bu (94), who donated 100 million won of her hard-earned wealth to the university for 64 years of life as a haenyeo. The POSCO Clean Ocean Volunteer Group, an in-house volunteer organization that contributed to the conservation, was selected.

The Prime Minister’s citation was awarded to Gil-Hong Jo (67), who has been running a barber shop for 40 years and has donated talent to seniors in nursing hospitals such as Hanbit Blind School students and the visually impaired. Gu Gyo-don, a 23-year-old brave young man who went in and informed the tenants of the fire and evacuated 200 people without harming lives.
