LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) employees’ suspicion of land speculation in the new city continues to emerge. LH is a public company created by the merger of Korea Land Corporation and Korea Housing Corporation in October 2009. LH employees have a wealth of real estate knowledge as their main job is to develop land and sell houses. In particular, the compensation service, which is considered the front-line department with the greatest number of complaints, is the department to which LH new employees are assigned first. In general, ten-year-old employees have worked on compensation for an average of four years. Because of this, even new employees have a lot of knowledge about the land.

Currently, there are 10,000 people working at LH. Among these, the departments that can know the new city development information in advance are largely about the departments that determine candidate sites for new cities or promote development, and departments that handle land compensation after the candidate sites are determined.

The New Town Business Department works with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and local governments to select candidate sites for new cities and determine development sites among them. You can literally get related information early. Compensation work is a structure that most employees know immediately after a new city is designated. That’s why LH employees say, “out of 10,000 people, it is upset that some departments that have access to information on candidate sites for new cities are imposed on some, and they are also in high ranks, but they are swearing by shame.

Whenever an employee in charge of a new city business unit or a compensation business accesses a PC to view related information, a log of access is left. To prevent data leakage, the relevant information is printed out as an encrypted modifier. Although there is a clause in the LH regulation’prohibition of the use of undisclosed development information’, no employee has been caught or punished based on this clause in the past 10 years. The punishment regulation is just’self-discipline based on internal regulations’. On the contrary, public finance companies are prosecuted to the prosecution if this is discovered.

LH builds a housing site to build a house, selects a contractor, builds and sells apartments, and manages tenants for rental apartments. All tasks are the role of so-called’A’. In 2018, an LH deputy general manager in charge of supervising the construction site of an apartment in Busan left a high-pressure text message to a field employee of a subcontractor who is 20 years of age or older, such as “If you are late, see the terms of the contract”. It was controversial.

In the same month, an LH executive-level employee told a representative of a tenant at a rental apartment in Daegu, “It’s XX that I can’t live.” “This XXX, while living in national rental. The only punishment for LH employees, which was a problem at the time, was a one-month cut.
