Tim Cook, Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO), left a congratulatory message at the second Apple store opened in Seoul.
CEO Cook said through a Twitter account on the 28th, “I am happy to meet Korean customers at Apple’s Yeouido, the second Apple store in Seoul.”
This tweet got 14,000 likes as of 2:20 pm on the same day.
The Apple Store Yeouido branch opened three years after the first Garosu-gil store opened in January 2018. A total of 117 employees serve customers here. In consideration of foreign visitors, the service is provided in six languages.

Apple’s Yeouido, which opened on the first basement floor of the IFC Mall on the 26th, received a lot of attention from the first day of opening, as consumers lined up for a long time. Following Yeouido, Apple is expected to open 3-4 Apple stores in Myeong-dong, Seoul and Haeundae, Busan sooner or later. Apple plans to focus on the Korean market starting with the opening of the Yeouido Store.
Dearly O’Brien, senior vice president of Apple Retail and Human Resources, said, “The passion and love of Korean customers inspire all of Apple’s employees. Since the opening of Apple Garosu-gil, we can meet more customers with more than doubled size in Korea. I think it’s a great honor.”
