Earlier this year, Foxconn also agreed to jointly produce electric cars with American electric car start-up Fisker. As chairman Ryu Yang-way confirmed the production location in the US, there is also an analysis that there is a possibility to cooperate with Apple in the electric vehicle sector as well.

Foxconn has a factory in Wisconsin, USA. Industry predicts that Foxconn will also assemble electric vehicles at the plant. The production of electric vehicles will start as early as the end of 2023, a foreign press reported.

Recently, Apple also announced that it plans to create an Apple’I-Car’ by selecting an electric car as a new growth engine according to its name as the iPhone is saturated. Accordingly, it was predicted that global automakers such as Hyundai/Kia Motors and Volkswagen could become Apple’s partners.

However, when asked about the possibility of cooperation in electric car production with Apple, Chairman Ryu drew a line saying, “The news that Foxconn will produce Apple cars is only a rumor.”
