According to JTBC reports on the 17th, after Kim was arrested on the 12th of last month, Kim’s second child, who was born in August of last year, was entrusted to his maternal grandmother. An official from the Gumi City Hall replied to the JTBC reporters on the 17th of last month, “The second child is now being protected by her maternal grandmother.”
Seok was a person full of suspicion that he had stated that he did not know this fact for more than half a year even though he was living in the house right below the place where the child was found, but he was in charge of the remaining child because he was his maternal grandmother.
Regarding this, an official from the Gumi City Hall explained, “I did not know such a situation,” and “it was decided after asking the Gumi police.”
In September of last year, the government implemented a’public child protection system’ in which the local government takes over the child protection body to prevent child abuse, but it was not observed in this case.
