Another 400 confirmed coronavirus in Seoul… One after another group infection in nursing homes

In Seoul, the number of confirmed corona19 patients a day also surpassed 400.

The city of Seoul announced on the 26th that the number of new corona19 confirmed cases in Seoul on the 25th of Christmas Day was 466.

The 151st deceased living in Seocho-gu died a day after being confirmed on the 23rd.

Of the confirmed cases on the 25th, 9 were inflows from abroad, and 457 were local outbreaks, that is, domestic infections.

Group infection continues in high-risk facilities such as nursing homes.

A total of 26 people were confirmed as a new group infection occurred in a nursing facility in Yangcheon-gu. After the facility officials were first confirmed on the 21st, residents, co-workers, and family members were infected one after another, and only 21 people were confirmed the day before. A total of 212 people involved were tested, and 176 were negative, and 11 are waiting for the test results. The quarantine authorities have quarantined a cohort (same group) within the facility, and are investigating additional contacts and infection routes.

In relation to the eastern detention center where a large-scale group infection occurred, five families of confirmed workers were additionally confirmed the day before, resulting in 519 cumulative infections (515 in Seoul). The quarantine authorities have temporarily closed this detention center.

As of 0 o’clock on the 26th, the cumulative total of confirmed cases in Seoul is 10,768.
