‘King’ LeBron James (37, USA, LA Lakers) has been ranked No. 1 in annual income for NBA players for the last 7 consecutive years.

On the 31st, Forbes, an American economic magazine, surveyed and released the annual income rankings of NBA players. In addition to the annual salary received from the club, this included various sponsorship contracts.

According to Forbes, James is expected to generate $95.4 million in annual income by adding $31.4 million in annual salary and $64 million in sponsorship contracts. This is equivalent to 166.6 billion won in Korean money.

Forbes said, “Annual sponsorship of $64 million is the highest in the history of US team sports.” I put it in front of my eyes.”

James, who won the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2019-2020 season, has not reached an agreement to renew the contract with Coca-Cola, which has signed a sponsorship contract since 2003, but is still proud of its merchandise, including a contract with Pepsi-Cola immediately.

In May of last year, James also ranked fifth in the annual sports player income rankings released by Forbes, with 88.2 million dollars.

At the time, Roger Federer (Tennis and Switzerland), worth $16.3 million, was the first place, and Cristiano Ronaldo (Soccer, Portugal), who was $105 million, was second.

Stephen Curry (Golden State) ranked second in the NBA players’ annual income rankings, announced by Forbes, and Kevin Durant (Brooklyn), who sold $65.2 million, ranked second.

Forbes also reported, “There were 34 players in the NBA with an annual salary of over 25 million dollars, more than 12 American Professional Football (NFL) and 7 American Professional Baseball Major Leagues.”

This is the result of calculating the reduction in actual wages due to non-audience games and shortening of the season schedule due to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
