Announcement and reception of new and renewable energy supply support projects in 2021

[대전인터넷신문=세종/최대열기자] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Industry) announced on April 5 (Mon) 2021 “Renewable energy supply support project (housing support, building support, etc.)” and announced that it will receive applications.

The Ministry of Industry’s current supply support project is to support part of the installation cost when the owner of a house or building installs new and renewable energy facilities such as solar power and geothermal heat for self-consumption. It was KRW 311.2 billion, an increase of 12% (KRW 33 billion) compared to the year 20, reflecting the trend of increasing demand for new and renewable energy installations in complex support and regional support (KRW 167.7 billion).

The housing/building support project supports part of the installation cost when installing new and renewable energy facilities for self-consumption in detached/community houses, shopping centers, factories, etc., and starting this year, it is recognized that the desired installation capacity is large in the case of factories and distribution warehouses. In consideration of this, the building solar subsidy support capacity has been increased from 50kW to 200kW, and the pilot supply to promote the commercialization of products developed through national R&D has been increased from 5 billion won in 20 years to 10 billion won in 21 years. BIPV expanded support for facilities with new technologies from 500 million won in 20 years to 10.5 billion won in 21 years.

Accordingly, buildings and facilities (parking lot, soundproof walls, etc.) such as solar power, solar heat, geothermal heat, shopping centers, factories, etc. for detached houses, apartment houses, public rental houses, etc. In the case of installing 200kW new and renewable energy facilities, a total of KRW 144.3 billion will be provided to buildings and facilities.

Convergence Support supports installation costs for projects that converge two or more types of renewable energy sources, such as solar, solar, and geothermal, to the target of complex support such as housing, shopping malls, and public institutions. Local support is supported when installing new and renewable energy facilities in buildings and facilities owned or managed by local governments, and social welfare facilities. In particular, reflecting the growing demand for local participation in the Green New Deal, the budget for convergence support in ’21 was increased by about 40% compared to the previous year’s budget, to KRW 157.7 billion.

On the other hand, in the case of convergence support projects and regional support projects, the final selection in September of this year after public evaluation and general evaluation, as a plan to select the local government (or consortium) performing the project by receiving applications for the project in ’22. Will be.

In this competition, in order to expand the supply of new and renewable energy facilities to local public facilities and social welfare facilities such as community centers and town halls, the proportion of local government spending is increased (formerly 45% → 50%), and local governments Improvements have been made so that support is available from the design stage for the installed capacity that exceeds the ratio of mandatory installation of new and renewable energy in Korea. In particular, it is obligatory for public institutions to supply 30% or more of the expected energy use (from 22 to 32% or more) as new and renewable energy when new, extended, or renovated with a total floor area of 1,000 m2 or more.

In addition, in consideration of the purpose of the convergence support project, the system was reorganized to expand the supply of various new and renewable energy sources, such as granting additional points when supplying more than a certain ratio of energy sources such as solar and geothermal energy.

The Ministry of Industry said that through the ’21 supply support project, the supply of new and renewable energy facilities of a total of 295MW will be expanded by utilizing idle spaces such as building rooftops and parking lots, resulting in an annual reduction of 58 billion won in electricity bills and an annual reduction of 170,000 tons of CO2 carbon dioxide. Revealed. In addition, he explained that he plans to conduct inspections on new and renewable energy facilities installed as a supply project before the concentration of storm and flood damage in the summer, and to ensure the safety of the public as the top priority through thorough installation confirmation and follow-up management.
