Forest fires in Andong and Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, have burned down 357 soccer fields.
According to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Safety Headquarters and Andong City and Yecheon-gun on the 22nd, about 255ha of forest was burned in the afternoon of the previous day due to a forest fire in Andong and Yecheon. Andong 200㏊ (2 million㎡), Yecheon 50㏊ (500,000㎡), Yeongju 5ha (50,000㎡).
Normally, when the area of one soccer field is calculated as 7,140㎡, the area is about 357 soccer fields.
The two cities and counties resumed their evolution from 5:50 am and 7 am on the same day, respectively.
In Andong, 1,110 people were convened, including 527 city employees, 200 people from Gyeongbuk Province, and 383 people from related organizations such as the Forest Service. It is known that about 30 helicopters were deployed.
554 people were mobilized from Yecheon, including 249 Yecheon-gun employees, 100 Gyeongbuk-do officials, and 40 army personnel. 16 helicopters were supported.

The first stage of response was issued due to the forest fire spread by the wind, and the fire fighting authorities not only evacuated Yecheon but also residents of Jangsu-myeon, Yeongju-si, adjacent to the forest fire.
As of 7 am, the evolution rate is 30% in Andong and 60% in Yecheon.
Forestry and firefighting authorities have determined that there has been no human injury to date, but most of the nearby residents stayed awake at night.
