AMOREPACIFIC announced that it will participate in CES 2021 (Consumer Electronics Show 2021), the world’s largest consumer electronics and technology exhibition, held online from the 11th to the 14th (U.S. local time).

AMOREPACIFIC, which participates in CES for the second consecutive year following last year, plans to showcase two customer-specific innovative beauty technologies that have won this year’s Innovation Award through digital exhibitions.

‘Lip Factory by Color Tailor Smart Factory System’, which received an innovation award in the CES 2021 Health & Wellness category, uses artificial intelligence to recommend a lip color suitable for the customer’s skin tone, and lip make-up immediately on site. It is a customized technology that connects online and offline to manufacture products.

This system, which can make products of as many as 2000 colors in real time, applies advanced technology that precisely combines and manages various pigments, and can quickly produce lip makeup products that produce accurate colors quickly with simple operations.

In addition, the’Formularity-Instant Active Toner Blending Device’, which was introduced for the first time through this digital exhibition, also received the CES 2021 Health & Wellness Innovation Award. This equipment produces toners on the fly with potency ampoules tailored to skin concerns. Then, it is absorbed by a cotton pad and adjusted to a suitable temperature for the skin to be provided. The management introduced that it is hygienic because it is a method of making and using a toner on the spot at the same time by using an ampoule containing various effective ingredients for each face area.

Won-seok Park, head of the Institute for Basic Innovation, Amorepacific Institute of Technology, said, “I think it is very meaningful to be able to showcase AMOREPACIFIC’s smart beauty innovation technology to the world through CES for two consecutive years. We will continue to strive to deliver the product to customers around the world.”

Meanwhile, CES, which started in 1967, is an event held and hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). This year’s CES 2021 will be fully digitalized for the first time ever.
