Larry King (real name Lawrence Harvey Zeiger), the host of the American CNN broadcast signboard talk show, passed away. At the age of 87, Ora Media, founded by Larry King, posted on Twitter on the 23rd (local time): I took my breath away.”

It has been 20 days since it has been known that he has been in the hospital for more than a week after being confirmed with a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) on the 3rd. King has been active for a long time as a radio broadcast host transmitted throughout the United States. In particular, he gained fame by hosting’Larry King Live’, which aired on CNN from 1985 to 2010.

For 25 years, King has met a wide variety of people on CNN talk shows, from political leaders, entertainers, athletes, actors, and even ordinary people. After filming a total of 6,000 films, he retired in 2010. He has won two Peabody Awards, called the Pulitzer Prize in the Broadcasting category.

He was also active in social activities. In 1988, King founded the Larry King Heart Foundation, a charity funding heart treatment for people with limited financial resources or no health insurance, raising more than $15 million and providing more than 1,500 heart surgeries.

After the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, a Haiti relief broadcast was held and raised more than 10 million dollars in two hours. King is known to suffer from several illnesses, including diabetes. He underwent heart surgery in 1987 from several myocardial infarctions, and in 2017 he suffered from lung cancer and healed after undergoing surgery.

In 2019, he also had surgery for angina.
