March domestic release
Actor Yoon Yeo-jeong of the movie’Minari’ is the most promising Oscar for Best Supporting Actor to be held in April, according to the American entertainment media variety on the 29th (local time).
Yoon Yeo-jung is sweeping the awards of American critics for her lovely grandmother in Buttercup.
Variety selected Yoon Yeo-jung as the No. 1 Best Supporting Actress Award nominee in the 2021 Academy Awards Prediction.
Variety predicted, “If Yun Yeo-jeong gets good results at the American Actors Guild Awards, he will be able to receive the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.”
“If Yun Yeo-jeong wins the Best Supporting Actress Award, it is the second Asian actress in the history of the Oscars, succeeding Miyoshi Umeki in the 1957 movie Sayonara.”
Yoon Yeo-jung has won 20 crowns at various film festivals such as Los Angeles, Boston, Music City, San Francisco, and North Texas.
In addition to the Best Supporting Actress Award, Minari was ranked in the top spots, including the Oscars, Director Awards, Screenplay Awards 3rd and 5th Best Actor Awards predicted by Variety.
Steven Yeun, who participated as the lead actor and producer of Buttercup, won three Best Actor Awards at the North Texas Critics Association, Denver Film Festival, and Gold List Awards.
Han Ye-ri also solidified the popularity of Buttercup by winning the Best Actress Award at the Gold List Awards.
Minari is setting a record of 58 international film festivals by adding foreign language film awards from the American Online Critics Association.
