Foreign ambassadors to Korea fell in love with making kimchi.

According to the Foreign Culture Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 21st, the ambassadors of Hungary, Denmark and Belgium to Korea shared videos and photos of making kimchi with their families or employees. Prior to this, in celebration of the Lunar New Year, the Overseas Culture Promotion Agency presented a’Kimchi Making Package’ that can be made just by mixing pickled cabbage and seasonings at 18 foreign embassies in Korea.

Hungarian Ambassador Chomer Moses, who married a Korean, sent a 7-minute vlog of kimchi with his three sons to Koreanet, which is run by the Overseas Cultural Promotion Agency. In this video filmed at the embassy’s residence, the family members of the Moses Ambassador talked about kimchi in fluent Korean and introduced Hungarian food similar to kimchi.

Danish ambassador to Korea Ainer Jensen also posted videos and photos of kimchi making on social network service (SNS). Ambassador Jensen said, “I like the taste of kimchi, so I’m looking forward to the next week already,” he said. “Please recommend a food that goes well with kimchi.” Accordingly, comments were posted on SNS recommending Bossam, Danish traditional pork dishes, Pleske Stack, and tofu.

The Belgian Embassy in Korea also released a picture of the staff making kimchi on Facebook, saying, “It was a good time to strengthen the unity between the embassy staff and to know Kimchi, a Korean food, to employees who have not yet encountered kimchi.

In addition, Kuwaiti Ambassador Badr Muhammad Alawadi sent a green tea set in return with a letter of appreciation.
