In March of last year, the law was revised so that cryptocurrency exchanges, like banks, report suspected illegality or large amounts of cash transactions to the financial authorities.

There is a legal basis for authorities to monitor cryptocurrency transactions.

When the IRS compared the list of high-payers with the list of cryptocurrency exchanges, there were 2,400 people who hid their property in cryptocurrency.

The IRS collected 33.6 billion won from them.

From next year, we will also impose taxes on income earned from cryptocurrency transactions.

With the IRS being able to look into it, it has become difficult to abuse cryptocurrency for tax evasion purposes.
