CD Project Red revealed about Cyberpunk 2077 DLC and later schedule. Originally, DLC was planned to be released in early 2021, but the problem will be improved first, and DLC will be released after that.

On the 13th, the co-founder of CD Project Red, Marcin Iwiński, apologized for the low-quality console version released on Cyberpunk 2077’s official YouTube on the 13th, and announced plans for future patches and updates. The most important thing for the current production team is to fix bugs, errors, and crashes that were pointed out after release.

“We will have the first update within 10 days, and we plan to make a bigger update within a few weeks,” said co-founder Yibinsky. “Our plans to support Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time have not changed, and we will provide updates and patches to improve the experience for console and PC players.”

Accordingly, the schedule of the new DLC, which was initially announced earlier this year, will be delayed. “The more important thing now is to revise and update the game,” said co-founder Yibinsky. After that, we will release the DLC, and we will tell you more about it within the next few months.” In addition, the next-generation console update is scheduled for the second half of 2021.

Along with this, he explained whether the console had more problems than the PC. At the time, the development team made a city based on a PC and adjusted it for PS4 and Xbox One, but the old-generation console disk bandwidth was low, so it was difficult to realize a dense city. In internal testing, no serious problems were found at the level experienced by the player, and it was seen improving every day, so he said he thought the pre-patch would solve all the problems.

However, many bugs and errors were pointed out as problems immediately after Cyberpunk 2077 was released. Regarding this, co-founder Yibinsky said, “The PC version received a good evaluation, but the console version did not meet the desired quality. The final decision makers were me and the management team, and it was our decision to launch the game. However, it was by no means intended for this to happen. I will do my best to restore trust.”
