AKMU Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun renewed the contract with YG Entertainment.

YG Entertainment officially announced on the 26th that they signed a five-year renewal contract with AKMU Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun after the seven-year contract period.

AKMU is a top-notch sibling duo that is recognized not only for popular popularity but also for musical artistry. AKMU, which received attention under the name of AKDONG musician through the appearance of SBS’K Pop Star’ season 2 in 2012, made its official debut at YG in 2014.

Since then, they have become the strongest sound source in Korea by demonstrating their natural lyrics and composition skills with YG’s full trust and support. Since they have produced numerous hit songs over the past 7 years, their moves have attracted great attention as they have emerged as a topic in the entertainment industry.

YG and AKMU’s renewal of contracts is particularly noticeable in the case of singers who often disband their team or move to another agency so that after the 7-year contract period ends, the word is 7-year jinx.

When continuing to renew the contract with the agency, it is a common practice to reduce the burden on the contract period with a short-term contract of about 2 years, but AKMU has signed a long-term renewal of 5 years. The position of the industry is that it is impossible without infinite trust in each other.

This is evident when listening to AKMU’s special re-contract impression.

AKMU Lee Chan-hyuk said, “Honestly, it is hard to find a company that gives our singers first as well as YG. For 7 years, it has been a company that has reliably supported us in the direction we want to go without any small friction or disagreement.” YG Expressed infinite trust in.

In particular, AKMU’s Lee Soo-hyun’s impressions attract attention. Lee Soo-hyun said, “We did it when we retire, but we have never thought of leaving YG.”

YG said, “Although I’m still young friends about AKMU, they are deeply thoughtful and very mature. It is true that all of YG’s executives and employees were very impressed with the news of AKMU’s long-term renewal.” As far as I have confirmed, YG will not spare more support for AKMU in the future, and I will do my best to help grow as an artist.”

YG and AKMU have continued a more stable and reassuring musical partnership through the renewal of the contract.

As AKMU is always loved by the public for its high-quality music and strong sensibility, the new songs and active activities that will be released in 2021 are also raising expectations.
