(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Dae-hee, Choi Jae-seo = High-ranking public officials criminal investigation office (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Public Affairs) has reported that 100 cases have been filed for over 15 days since its inception.

Incident filing is gradually accelerating, and it is expected that the increase will increase further if the electronic case filing system is opened in the future.

The Ministry of Public Service announced on the 7th that it began filing cases from the 22nd of last month, the day after its inauguration, and has received exactly 100 cases in the last 15 days until the 5th. There were 47 cases received during the 8th day from the 22nd to the 29th of last month, but from the 30th to the 5th of this month, there were 53 cases in a week.

Out of 100 cases, the Airborne Department transferred two cases with imminent statutes to other investigative agencies. Currently, the Ministry of Public Transport is accepting cases only by mail or by visiting the government office in Gwacheon. Therefore, if the convenience is improved by establishing an electronic case reception system, the number of cases is expected to increase rapidly.

Although there are no cases yet, the Ministry of Public Affairs may be notified of crimes of high-ranking officials from other investigative agencies according to the law, or may take over the case through the right to request a case transfer. It is unlikely that the air defense agency will turn around because the least suitable investigation case cannot be found.

Deputy Chief Kim Jin-wook and Deputy Chief Yeo Un-guk are reviewing whether there are any cases that have been received so far that the airborne agency must initiate an investigation. However, the full-scale review is expected to take place after the establishment of the case and office rules that specifically stipulate the composition of the investigation team and the right to request case transfer.

The public offering of prosecutors and investigators from the Ministry of Airborne Service is said to have been successful in the’box-office’. 233 people applied for the competition for prosecutors to select 23 people, and 293 people also flocked to the investigators to select 30 people.

Deputy Director Kim said on the 5th that “there are many applicants, which means that there is a lot of public interest,” he said.
