Ahn Cheol-soo, the head of the National Assembly Party, raised his voice, saying, “We must apologize,” targeting passport runners running for the Seoul Mayor’s by-election on the 26th.
Representative Ahn said, “They were at the center of the current regime’s incompetence and hypocrisy.”
When asked about the former Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business Park Young-sun, who was scheduled to run for the mayor of Seoul, Ahn said, “Why did the Seoul mayoral by-election take place? It was caused by the sexual scandal of the former mayor,” he said. “If you have a conscience, you should express your position on this issue and apologize.”
In addition, when Democratic Party lawmaker Woo Sang-ho criticized opposition runners’ real estate pledge the day before as for speculators, he replied, “Passport candidates should first apologize for real estate policy.” “For those who had stable housing because they had one house, the tax bomb made their housing unstable. “Without a sincere apology for that part, whatever promises you make, it will make the people suffer.”
Regarding the unification of the opposition, Ahn said, “I think that starting working-level negotiations as soon as possible can reassure opposition supporters and increase the probability of unification.”
Meanwhile, CEO Ahn finished registration as a preliminary candidate for the Seoul Mayor by-election at the Seoul Metropolitan Election Commission in Jongno-gu, Seoul in the morning.
