Candidate Ahn Chul-soo, Mayor of the People’s Party of Seoul, compared the partnership with Candidate Se-hoon Oh Se-hoon to the relationship between Tottenham’s Sohn Heung-min and Harry Kane in the English professional football Premier League (EPL).
Candidate Ahn said at the Supreme Council on the 11th, “Son Heung-min had a great fellow named Kane, and Son Ki-jeong had a lone comrade named Nam Seung-ryong. I was able to become the protagonist of the gold medal.”
Son Heung-min and Kane successfully scored 34 goals in EPL’s career. Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba’s 36 goals are the record for the most joint ventures ever.
Candidate Ahn emphasized, “I think that the power of the People’s Party and the people is such a relationship.”
At the same time, he suggested to Candidate Oh, “Let’s achieve the beautiful and emotional unity that the people want,” and “Let’s work together to achieve victory in the by-election and change of power.”
Candidate Ahn also said, “If we hold hands together, whoever crosses the finish line first, we win together.”
In addition, regarding the allegations of land speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), he said, “It is impossible to conduct a proper real estate speculation investigation in such a regime. I hope you see it,” he criticized.
