Ahn Cheol-soo, the head of the National Assembly Party, shared the remarks of former National Assembly Chairman Kim Hyung-oh on Facebook on the 20th and said, “The people will not be able to understand the reason why the immediate investigation cannot be carried out. “There is,” he said, putting pressure on the people’s power over the unification of the opposition candidates for the Seoul mayoral by-election.

Kim’s remarks shared by Candidate Ahn said, “On Sundays and Mondays, conduct public opinion polls according to their concessions, and announce a single candidate on the 23rd at the latest.”

Candidate Ahn referred to the remarks of former National Assembly Speaker Kim and said, “Practice for public opinion polls does not require much time. Our side has requested and is waiting for the resumption of working-level negotiations from yesterday, but there is no contact yet.” In the afternoon, the negotiating team must meet and finish the work, and from Sunday to investigate, he wrote.

The two candidates each announced their intention to make concessions to each other regarding public opinion polls that have been causing sharp conflicts in the afternoon after registering as the Mayor of Seoul the day before.

This attitude was also criticized inside the opposition as “promoting a huge concession to benefit from public opinion polls.”

On the other hand, Candidate Se-hoon Oh, Mayor of the People’s Power, said, “I met with Candidate Ahn again last night and shared their opinions for 30 to 40 minutes,” after finishing a meeting with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation on the 20th. It is difficult to tell, and the unified working-level negotiation team decided to meet and organize it,” he said. “On the day of the court election, we talked to end the polls no matter what happens so that one candidate can campaign for the election.”

The official election campaign begins on the 25th.
