Candidate Ahn received higher support from men (44.4%) than women (39.5%). By region, in Gangnam-gu, Gangdong-gu, Seocho-gu, and Songpa-gu, Ahn (52.2%) outpaced Park (30.3%) by a large margin. However, in Mapo-gu, Seodaemun-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, Gangseo-gu, Gwanak-gu, and Guro-gu, Park’s approval rating (46.1%) outperformed Ahn (34.8%).

By age group, Ahn was overwhelmingly supported by those in their 18 to 20s (46.8%) and over 60s (41.1%). By political orientation, candidate Ahn (48.5%) preceded Park (33.7%) in moderate orientation.
