Candidate Ahn received higher support from men (44.4%) than women (39.5%). By region, in Gangnam-gu, Gangdong-gu, Seocho-gu, and Songpa-gu, Ahn (52.2%) outpaced Park (30.3%) by a large margin. However, in Mapo-gu, Seodaemun-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, Gangseo-gu, Gwanak-gu, and Guro-gu, Park’s approval rating (46.1%) outperformed Ahn (34.8%).

By age group, Ahn was overwhelmingly supported by those in their 18 to 20s (46.8%) and over 60s (41.1%). Candidate Park’s approval rating was only 30.0% in her 18’s and 20’s, and 34.3% even in her 60s or older. On the other hand, in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, candidate Park was found to have beaten Ahn.

By political orientation, candidate Ahn (48.5%) preceded Park (33.7%) in moderate orientation.

The survey was conducted on the 18th to 19th by an automated telephone survey (wireless) to 814 men and women over the age of 18 living in Seoul.
