Ahn Cheol-soo 39.4% Park Young-sun 39.3%… Seoul mayor election 0.1%p ultra thin

The results of a public opinion poll came out on the 18th that if Ahn Cheol-soo, the representative of the National Assembly Party, becomes a single candidate for the mayor of Seoul, the Democratic Party’s preliminary candidate Park Young-seon and Park Bing will face off.

As a result of a survey of 807 citizens of Seoul on the 15th to 16th at the request of MBN by Hangil Research, CEO Ahn Chul-soo and Candidate Young-seon Park received 39.3% support in a virtual bilateral confrontation. It is a breathtaking difference of 0.1% point.

If the people’s power’s preliminary candidate Oh Se-hoon or Na Gyeong-won emerged as a single candidate for the opposition, the preliminary candidate Park Young-seon won overwhelming victory with a gap of more than 10 percentage points in both confrontations. In the Park Young-sun vs. Na Gyeong-sun confrontation, there was a 11.8 percentage point difference between 39.0% and 27.2%. When Park Young-sun and Oh Se-hoon competed, they gained 39.5% and 27.0% support, respectively.

In addition, when asked by the Democratic Party for a suitable candidate for mayor of Seoul, Park Young-seon preliminary candidate Park Young-seon was 39.2%, outstripping Woo Sang-ho preliminary candidate (15%) by more than 20 percentage points.

In terms of the suitability of the candidates for the Mayor of Seoul, Na Gyeong-won 25.1%, Oh Se-hoon 19%, Cho Eun-hee 7.3%, and Shin Won-hwan 4.7%. Nearly half of the respondents said that there was no candidate to support.

As a variable influencing the by-election, 35.8% of respondents cited’city administration ability’ the most. 25.6% for real estate, 12.4% for unified opposition, 11.0% for sexual harassment in the former market, and 5.4% for 4th disaster support.

This poll was conducted in a wireless 100% automatic response method with virtual numbers provided by three telecommunications companies, with a 95% confidence level and a sample error of ±3.4% points. For detailed opinion polls, refer to the website of the Central Election Polls Review Committee.
