The main character is Bae Se-hwan (37), who entered the Department of Physical Therapy at Daegu Health University this year. “The more important thing than signboards is to challenge yourself,” he said.

Bae’s career goes beyond just the case of’academic U-turn’ from Seoul National University. In 2002, he graduated from Seoul National University Department of Physical Education and was discharged as a lieutenant through the School Corps (ROTC). Later, he completed his master’s degree in the same major at Seoul National University Graduate School.

While in school, he worked as a field hockey player. He also has a history of teaching for 5 years as a playing coach. After graduation, he has been working as a part-time lecturer at Seoul National University and a faculty member at Seoul National University.

Bae was interested in the field of training to help athletes increase their skills. In my spare time, I read various materials and foreign books. In the meantime, I found out that each player has different injuries, such as differences in the degree of pain even in the same area. He said, “I thought I would become a frog in a well without specialized knowledge.

While looking for a place to study, Bae applied to Daegu Health College, which opened the only night physical therapy department in the country. An official from Daegu Health University said, “The strength of physical therapy is the national license for physical therapists. Recently, sports trainers are changing into an atmosphere that requires qualifications and licenses for physical therapists, unlike in the past.”

Bae said, “After graduation, I want to open a sports rehabilitation center to help rehabilitation to prevent injury to athletes and do performance training to improve their skills.” I will become a therapist,” he said through the school’s aspirations.

Lee Jae-hong (52), head of the Department of Physical Therapy, Daegu Health University said, “The appearance of Bae Se-hwan, a highly educated student who tries to learn new things without being settled in reality, is a model for younger motives.”

Separately, the oldest freshmen in their 70s entered the Department of Social Welfare at Gumi University in Gyeongbuk, and it is a hot topic. The main character is Shin Byeong-hee (76). His career is also eye-catching. Shin was the first in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, to have a career as a’basic lawmaker who was formerly a public official’.

Shin served as a public servant for more than 40 years before retiring as a secretary. After that, he worked as a city councilor in Sangju for eight years. He said that the reason he decided to enter Gumi University as a newcomer was “because he recognized the importance of social welfare through his long public service life.”
