According to the police, Lee Ji-eun was found dead at her home in Jung-gu, Seoul around 8 pm on the 8th. The police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an acquaintance that “Lee Ji-eun does not receive contact”. It is known that Lee Ji-eun was living alone after his son enlisted.
Lee Ji-eun enjoyed great popularity through the 1995 drama’Young People’s Yangji’, and since then, through a number of movies, it has attracted the attention of the rising star of Chungmuro. However, since the movie’End of the Century’, which was released in 1999, he has barely been active as an actor.
On the 9th, when news of the death was announced, Jo Sung-gyu uploaded a group photo taken during the filming of’Young Man’s Yangji’ on his blog, and mourned Lee Ji-eun, saying, “Another unfortunate actor died.”
Jo Sung-gyu said, “Lee Ji-eun, who received much love from the public, has passed away. Short if it is short, long if it is long… It was a six-month relationship of a young man full of emotions and sorrows while filming, but now people in a drama full of faint thoughts,” he said, “Ah A life like a handful of dust and wind! Cho Sung-gyu called the names of the already deceased’Young Ji’s author and actors in turn, saying, “In the drama, they co-existed with the sorrow and pain of the times, and they had an unstained soul in my memory. I remembered that there was a life of a boxer of life.”
