At this year’s Academy Awards, Actor Yoon Yeo-jung will challenge for Best Supporting Actress with the movie’Minari’.
I am looking forward to seeing the first Korean actor to receive the award.

After 50 years of acting, he was nominated for the first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in Korea for the role of’Sunja’, the grandmother of the movie’Minari’.

Sunja teaches Hwatu to her grandchildren and swears without hesitation, but supports her family with deep maternal love.

Yoon Yeo-jung has already won dozens of performance awards at various awards in the United States.

Expectations for winning the first Academy Award in Korea are also rising.
<김정섭 / 대중문화평론가 (성신여대 교수)> “When it comes to acting, the judges in the United States will have no objection. I think it depends on how important he (Yoon Yeo-jung) takes the symbolic role he has in the movie’Minari’.”
The 93rd Academy Awards will be held on the 25th of next month.
