Director Jeong Isaac’s movie’Minari’ was nominated for six categories at the 93rd Academy Awards. Actor Yoon Yeo-jung was nominated for the first Korean acting award by being named in the Best Supporting Actor category. The Academy Awards Ceremony will be held on the 25th of next month.
Yoon Yeo-jeong announced on the 16th, “I am so honored to be nominated alone and I think that it is the same as winning the award (only nominated).”
Yoon said, “I am so upset that I can’t meet you because I’m in quarantine.”
“I wasn’t even an Olympic athlete, but I could feel the emotional distress of the Olympic athletes.” “In fact, just being nominated is a great honor. In fact, all five nominations with me did their best in their respective films, so I think it’s like having already won an award.
Yun said, “I hate competition. That’s why the competitive pros who decide the rankings are those who can’t see them because they’re sick.” In fact, if you become a nomination, you’ll want to support the award now. It’s like burnt,” he said.
“Thank you very much for your support. I never imagined this would happen at this age.”

Yoon said, “I thought that I participated in a difficult but rewarding little movie made by the second generation of Koreans, but this is a joyous moment.” Thank you.”
He continued, “I seem to be grateful when people can afford it. When I can’t afford it, I resent it,” he said. You are grateful for everything that has passed. Thank you.”
The movie’Minari’ was nominated in six categories, including the Academy Award for Best Works, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Music Award. Yoon was nominated for an acting award at the Academy Awards for the first time in Korea. Male lead actor Stephen Yeon is the first Asian-American actor to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor.
