At a zoo outside Jakarta, Indonesia, a hippopotamus, whose mouth was opened by a visitor throwing a cup at the hippopotamus, almost suffocated by the cup.

According to CNN Indonesia on the 9th, the video of’A hippopotamus almost suffocated’ filmed on the 7th at the zoo’s Taman Safari was spread on social media and became a hot topic.

Taman Safari is a driving safari where you can feed animals such as carrots while riding a car.

In the released video, a hippopotamus was dipping in the water and opening her mouth by the river, and a black vehicle passed by, and the hippopotamus opened and closed her mouth afterwards, gasping and in pain.

The video was taken from the rear of the vehicle, and the viewers in the vehicle that followed took the hippopotamus in pain. When I look inside the hippopotamus’s mouth, a blue plastic bottled water cup hangs in her throat.

The viewer who was taking the video immediately reported it to the zookeeper. Fortunately, the zoo took it out before the hippo swallowed the plastic cup.

A visitor of the car following said, “I saw the person in the car in front of him holding a plastic object in his hand and waving it towards the hippopotamus.”

This hippopotamus is a female named’Ari’. The zoo said, “I removed the plastic cup and tissue from Ari’s mouth,” and said, “I keep checking the condition, but my condition and appetite seem normal.”

As the criticism of netizens grew, the zoo found a woman who was attacked by vehicle number, etc., and uploaded a video of an apology.

This woman, named Kadija, 64, said, “I threw it by mistake, not intentionally. I guess I was crazy. Never follow me,” he apologized.

The zoo reported to the police to investigate the woman for cruelty to animals.
