A fire broke out in a car parked in an underground parking lot, and a woman in her 40s in the back seat was found dead, and the police investigated.

At 11 am on the 1st, a fire broke out in a Sonata car that was built in the parking lot on the 3rd basement of an officetel in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

The fire brigade, who had been reported and dispatched, caught the flames in 20 minutes, and while cleaning up the fire, found the body of a woman in her 40s who was hidden in the back seat and turned it over to the police.

Police investigation revealed that the woman who died is living in the officetel, and the woman also borrowed the burned car.

A police official said, “As a result of investigations such as CCTV around the site, it has been found that there are no criminal charges so far,” he said. “It is difficult to reveal the details of the case considering the bereaved family.”
