The prosecution sought a long-term and short-term five-year imprisonment for a teenage son who was convicted of injuring his birth father by shooting a bow (such as attempted murder).

On the 10th, at the decision of Army A (17) held at the hearing of the 11th Division of the Seoul Western District Law Criminal Agreement (Judge Moon Byung-chan), the prosecution said, “The victim, the father of the defendant, suffered a puncture injury in the abdomen in this case, but wanted punishment by the defendant. I considered the point of not doing this,” he requested to the court in this way.

According to the Juvenile Act, minors who commit crimes can be sentenced to irregular deformities with upper and lower prison terms divided into long-term and short-term.

Army A shot an arrow in his father’s abdomen with a compound bow, an archery, while arguing with his father in his 50s at his residence in November last year. Army A attempted to shoot an additional arrow at the father who was hit by the arrow, but his father ran away to the rooftop of the residence and ended in an attempt.

When his father locked the rooftop door, he lifted a hammer around him and tried to break the glass door.

The defendant of Group A said, “The defendant is confessing and reflecting on all the crimes,” he said. “Please take into account the fact that the defendant has an abnormality in mental health to the extent that it is suspected of a type of schizophrenia, a type of delusional disorder.

His father suffered an abdominal injury at the time and was taken to a nearby hospital, but it is said that there was no harm to his life.

In the final statement written on several pages of A4 paper on that day, Group A said, “My parents divorced as a child and did not receive attention from my father,” and said, “I was bullied in school and dropped out of high school.”

The sentence will be held on the 31st of this month.
