A nightmare that started when I was 7 years old… a pastor who sexually exploited female congregation for 14 years

An arrest warrant was issued against a pastor accused of sexually exploiting female believers for more than 10 years.

Kim Dae-kwon, a warrant dedicated to the Ansan Branch of the Suwon District Act, announced on the 14th that the police issued an arrest warrant requested by the police through the prosecution against Pastor A who is accused of violating the Act on Child and Juvenile Sexual Protection (forced harassment).

The court said, “There are concerns about destroying the evidence given the method and duration of the crime, the extent of the victims’ damage, and the relationship between the accused and victims and those involved.”

Pastor A of the parent church in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do is accused of committing sexual violence, including forcibly assaulting three female members from 2002 to 2016. Victims are known to have been injured from the age of 7 to 8.

On the 4th, they filed a complaint to the police for damage and to punish Pastor A, and the police seized and searched Pastor A’s church and home to obtain relevant data, and determined that the statements of the victims were credible. I applied for an arrest warrant on the 7th.

After the police initiated the investigation, the other congregation also stated that they were sexually exploited by Pastor A, and the police are investigating the rest of the congregation for further damage.

A police official said, “We cannot disclose the details of the crime because the investigation is underway, but we plan to continue investigating additional victims and accomplices.” Pastor A is said to be denying the current charges.
