The former vice president of the Korea Institute of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, who eventually killed a female employee who had collapsed in his residence in a car for a long time, was handed over to trial.

According to law enforcement officials on the 23rd, the Daejeon District Prosecutor’s Office indicted the former deputy head of the Korea Institute for Land Research, A (50s), for murder.

Mr. A is accused of leaving Mr. B, a junior female employee who fell conscious of a brain hemorrhage symptom in his apartment in Sejong City in August 2019, in a car for about 4 hours and eventually killed him.

It is known that it was only 10 minutes from Mr. A’s house to the hospital, but Mr. A visited the hospital a long time later after driving Mr. B by car, and Mr. B died.

It is reported that Mr. A was injured by investing in a motel in Cheongju, Chungbuk after being investigated by the police in relation to Mr. B’s death.

The prosecution is known to have applied the charges of murder by omission, seeing that there was an unwritten intention that did not take necessary measures against Mr. A.
