One of the confirmed cases uses the bath every day for six days
There have been 92 confirmed cases related to the’Pearl Bathhouse II’ that occurred on the 9th. The first confirmed person,’Gyeongnam No. 2181′, was confirmed at a pre-departure inspection, and then, as a result of the contact inspection, 8 additional family members and acquaintances were confirmed.
It was found that three of the additional confirmed patients visited a public bath in Daesang-dong, Jinju. These families went to the bathroom after meeting. Shin Jong-woo, head of the Gyeongnam Province Welfare and Health Bureau, explained, “It was confirmed that one of them visited the public bath for six days (3-8 days) after the suspected symptoms of Corona 19 appeared.”
Symptoms of family confirmed patients who used the bathroom, including the first confirmed person, appeared between 5 and 8 days.
To date, a total of 328 visitors and contacts of’Jinju Bathhouse II’ are estimated. As a result of the tests, 92 positive and 133 negative, including the first confirmed, 104 are in progress.
Among them, 235 people contacted the bathhouse, and 93 people, including 33 schools and academies, 19 family gatherings (contacts), 1 golf course, and 40 others. Director Shin Jong-woo said, “The outbreak of this group infection related to the Jinju baths seems to be a combination of various issues.”

Regarding the first symptoms of a confirmed person related to’Pearl Bath Ⅱ’, Director Shin said, “The first confirmed person did not have fever, had chills and cough symptoms, and it is regrettable that the test was not performed immediately after visiting hospitals and pharmacies.”
Director Shin said, “There is a possibility that additional confirmed cases will occur as a test is underway related to the bath.”
